This week, our federal government transitioned to a new administration. As a result, there are changes that could impact our students and community. 

Our commitment to students, staff and families stands firm: Every student enrolled in Tacoma Public Schools has the right to a free, quality education in a safe, respectful learning environment.  

We serve all students regardless of their race, religion, color, national origin or ancestry, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, marital or veteran status or disability, or the use of a guide dog or trained service animal.  

In addition to those protected classes, we are committed to serving students regardless of their household income, housing or immigration status, or their involvement with the criminal justice system.   

If you feel your child is being singled out, bullied or harassed for any reason, contact your school principal and/or report it here.  

We will uphold our school district policies and state constitution on behalf of our students and our community, with whom we partner and serve children together.  

We are committed to the well-being of our students and families, and that will not change.
